Cops: Crime rate goes down in Mizoram
Crime record in Mizoram has fallen by 0.49 percent during 2009-2010 as compared to the previous year.
This was disclosed in the crime review meeting held in the Police Hqrs. today under the chairmanship of the DIG Northern Range, Mr. L. Hrangnawna.
According to the crime records of all the Police Stations compilled by the Police Hqrs. there were 2661 cases registered during 2009 which is less than the record in the previous year.
Of these, 2034 cases were IPC cases and the rest 627 were Non-IPC cases. The crime review meeting was attended by all the District SPs and Battalion Commandants.
