World Bank Official visits Mizoram
Aizawl, April 12 (Zonet news) – World Bank External Affairs Division Journalist, Mrs. Vinita Ranade inspected the on going construction of Aizawl-Thenzawl-Lunglei road under World Bank Road Project.
On her way to Lunglei, she also interacted with the VCP, YMA, MHIP and MUP of Aibawk, Thenzawl and Haulawng villages to elicit their opinion on the role to be played by the road for their socio-economic development.
On her arrival in Lunglei, she also interacted with Social Welfare Minister, Mr. PC Lalthanliana, Paliamentary Secretary, Mr. S. Laldingliana and the District Deputy Commissioner, Mrs. M. Zohmingthangi.
All of them informed her that the new road is a blessing for the people of south Mizoram as well as the people of the villages along the main road as it has shorted the 235 KM Aizawl-Lunglei road to 164 KM road.
They also informed her that the new road with good alignment has attracted the transporters to ply on this new road which brings abundant betterment for them.
